Greetings again from my Millbrook Studio.

A few days ago I woke up to a surprise late winter wonderland. Here is a picture from my studio window that morning.

This morning the warm sun is melting the last of the snow, the spring peepers in our ponds chirped loudly through the night and the crocuses, snowdrops and wood hyacinth flowers are making their appearance.  Many songbirds have returned from their southern winter homes and my spirits soar with the oncoming of spring.

Next week I will be driving down with my new work to exhibit in Texas at the Main Street Art Festival in Fort Worth (booth # 629) and at Art in the Square in Southlake (booth # M9), both are near Dallas.

As always, I look forward to seeing my artist friends and the many collectors who have purchased my etchings over the years at these shows, and to the opportunity to explore more of the beautiful Texas Hill Country which should be in full bloom when I get there.

Evelyn and I recently returned from an excellent three week trip to Peru. The country has a ton of ecological diversity and 5,000 years of civilization: Inca ruins and Colonial cities, the most colourful organically dyed and woven alpaca wool, Pisco sours and the best ceviche. We travelled by boat, plane, bus and train from the Ballestas Islands in the Pacific to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu in the Andes, from the depths of the Amazon Rainforest to the immensity of the Colca Canyon which is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. I’ve posted some of my pictures, it was hard picking just a few.  If you would like to see more photos from my travels, click here.  While you are on my website, feel free to peruse my image gallery and enjoy some of the updated images.

Lastly, here are pictures of a few commissions I completed over the winter.

Looking forward to seeing you at the show.
Best wishes,
George
